Wednesday 15th August 2012


A new moth for the Research Station caused a mini-twitch.  A Red-belted Clearwing was found by Ross on a apple tree (its host plant). An elusive and fascinating little critter.




The twitch!

Looks like the area is good for Clearwings , after finding a Six-Belted specimen at Ditton Quarry with Mike .
