Saturday 29th August

Had to go into work today, filming for BBC Countryfile (look out for me on your screens next Sunday evening!), but the upside was that I caught sight of a new bird for me in Barming/Teston area as I drove there - a Common Buzzard, soaring over the rookery by Barham Court Lodge off the A26 Tonbridge Road. On the way back, another raptor, Harris Hawk, drifting over the Glebe Lane/Tonbridge Road area.

Common Buzzard must have been an overdue species for you Adam.
I'll watch out for you on tv tonight ;-)

Hi Adam
Not bad for yesterday, a long overdue Common Buzzard for your patch, considering that they are now our comonest bird of prey
Also with the escape Harris Hawk.
I will look for you on TV.
PS. Can I have your autograph please??

Thanks boys,

I've had Common Buzzard on East Malling patch but not Barming, even though there were numerous reports a couple of years ago (not by me - they always eluded me!).

Not on TV until next week - sorry if you sat in expect to hear my brummie drawl and got to see some lambing instead!

Adam
